About Me

Hi! I’m an aspiring physician-scientist with a passion for exploring new problems and developing technology at the intersection of genomics, bioinformatics, and synthetic biology. Currently, I’m a MD-PhD student at Stanford in the preclinical portion of my training. Previously, I was a computational biologist at the Broad Institute using CRISPR screens to identify drug targets that will help patients overcome tumor resistance to immunotherapy.

I was born and spent my childhood in Sri Lanka before migrating to the US. I recently graduated from Duke University with a BSE in Biomedical Engineering.

I also enjoy reading science and historical fiction thrillers, and a little bit of photography, singing, and writing here and there.
